Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add my cameras?
Cameras Ultra reads cameras directly from Apple’s HomeKit. Set up your cameras and rooms in the Home app first, then grant Cameras Ultra HomeKit access — your cameras will appear automatically, organised by room.
What devices does Cameras Ultra run on?
Cameras Ultra is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. A single purchase covers all of your devices, with layouts tuned for each.
Are my camera streams private?
Yes. Camera streams are handled by HomeKit directly between your device and your camera hardware — they never pass through any server we operate. We do not have access to your video or audio.
What are room conditions?
Room conditions show the temperature, humidity, and air quality of the room each camera is in, pulled from any HomeKit sensors you have. You can show or hide them from Settings ’ Display.
How do I reorder or hide cameras?
Open Settings ’ Camera Order to drag cameras into the order you prefer. You can also group by room or show them in a flat list. Tap the star on any camera to add it to your Favourites tab.
How does iCloud Sync work?
When enabled, your camera order and favourites sync across your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV using your private iCloud container. Other in-app preferences stay local to each device. We never see any of this data.
Does Cameras Ultra work over the internet?
Cameras Ultra relies on HomeKit for camera streams. As long as your HomeKit setup works (typically via a Home Hub like an Apple TV or HomePod), you can view your cameras both at home and away.
